CRONE COLLECTIVE TATTOO AFTERCARE
ALWAYS WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE INTERACTING WITH YOUR NEW TATTOO
If you react to any products used during your healing, discontinue use and contact your tattooer.
DAY 1
-Remove the bandage after 2-4 hours in a clean environment. If it sticks, run it under warm water (between the skin and bandage) to loosen.
-Using tepid water and either Dial Gold Pump soap or Dr Bronners Baby soap, gently wash the blood, plasma and ointment off of your tattoo.
-Pat dry with a clean paper towel and allow to air dry for 15 minutes.
-Apply a THIN coat of A+D ointment or Aquaphor (no dyes or perfumes)
DAY 2+3
-Wash, dry and apply ointment twice a day.
DAY 4-14
-Switch to a light non-scented lotion twice daily. Wash as needed or anytime the cleanliness of the tattoo has been compromised.
-Your tattoo may begin to scab, peel and itch. Do not pick, scratch or rub the tattoo.
-Keep in mind, redness and swelling are normal around the tattoo in the first 1-3 days. Bruising is also possible.
-Signs of infection to watch out for are: excessive redness or isolated spots of redness, swelling, severe itching or pus at the tattoo site. Should any of these occur or if you have any concerns contact both your tattooer and health care provider.
-No swimming, bathing or soaking of any kind (e.g. hot tubs, pools, natural bodies of water). Keep showers short.
-Keep your tattoo completely out of the sun for the first month. Once healed, apply SPF40 or above to your tattoo anytime it experiences direct exposure to the sun or UV light. This will prolong the life of your tattoo and prevent fading.
